INFORMATION ABOUT SS 10
Stuart McQueen (32): We sorted our windscreen issue from yesterday so are having a proper go now.
János Puskádi (27): We drove that last stage with only 3 wheelnuts on the front right wheel. Not ideal...
Tony Jardine (29): Last night we bent the steering and the front strut but today is better. This is a massive event and such great fun to drive. A really epic stage.
Peter Taylor (33): Excellent. Really got to grips with it there and it all came together well.
Donnie MacDonald (18): That was rubbish! We blew the turbo in the first stage and have driven here with no power. Hope to change at service.
Euan Thorburn (17): All OK in the first half but then we lost power and it wouldn’t take any revs.
William Bonniwell (15): The car is down on boost, and it’s my first time here in the Trossachs which is a real shame as I was hoping to give it the beans.
Richard Nicoll (19): These are tremendous stages and as far as I am concerned the best anywhere. Really tremendous.
Craig Breen (21): That one certainly wasn’t fun. We had problems 10kms in and the car was all over the place. It was very hard to commit.
Tom Cave (25): I was 18 last Monday and had a party on the M6 on the way up here! The rally is going well for us, and we’re hoping for a successful end to the day.
Kris Meeke (1): I don’t know what Guy’s plan is, but as far as I’m concerned it’s going fantastic. It’s interesting to know how before this event Guy was determined to win here, but now on the event when we are quicker he is just wanting to finish. It’s nice to know we have to power to change his mind!
Guy Wilks (2): It’s not a case of us pushing for a win; more like if it comes it comes. If you get punctures early on in a stage like this then it wrecks your chances. So we’re pacing ourselves and waiting to see what happens this afternoon.
Alister McRae (10): It went well but we still have the problem with the gearshift and we can’t sort that until Service. It was a cracking stage though and we’re just pushing the car to the finish. Guy and Kris are having a fair battle and if they make a mistake we want to be close enough to take that opportunity.
Jonathan Greer (7): We had a few moments but nothing too bad in there. I hope I can stay ahead of David (Bogie).
David Bogie (5): Still doable, but we went into the first stage today with very soft tyres. Probably great to watch, but not good to drive with the back feeling very skittish.
Jock Armstrong (14): Settled down now and kept calm, and I think we’re OK. Kirsty hasn’t even been car sick today!
Eamonn Boland (11): I am enjoying it and this series is much cheaper to be in than the WRC, with the same amount of fun. I am really enjoying this gravel rally even though my proper home is tarmac.
Kaspar Koitla (12): It was a good stage, with good grip and very fast and smooth.
Richard Nicoll (19) stopped in stage, but continue.
Martin Kangur (26) crashed.
Ferenc Lévai (30) retired before SS 10 due to power steering problems.
